Part of my “GetYourShitTogether” focusing has had to do with a whole lot of organizing. Not only have I been sorting my personal space out, but my aging parents have also taken it upon themselves to sort out their loft/attic space, which uncovered a bunch of items I’ve not seen since my childhood far too many years ago to admit to.
Amongst the items that were pulled from the dusty corners of their eaves, were my first pair of ballet shoes – black flats that are more like jazz shoes, so old that the leather has hardened and they’re now permanently stuck in their flat, boxed shape, despite being hand-me-downs and worn by me lovingly when I can’t have been much more than five, two pairs of tap shoes that are slightly bigger than the ballet flats, and my first pointe shoes from when i was 15-17, carefully covered by the same luminous pink socks that I would pull up over them for practice to keep them looking as near pristine as possible.
Needless to say I absolutely had to pick these pointe shoes up from Tentacio that are currently available at Kustom9, and try and bring back some of those practice studio vibes.
It’s times like these I am most grateful for being an SL blogger, as the memories often bury themselves under less pleasant thoughts than the happiness I felt during dance.
Make it a beautiful day, Spoonies. You’re worth it. xoxo.
