Hai!
Except for the skirt, I think this Pickle is pretty close to what the RL Pickle has been doing for a couple of weeks. I bought new curtains for my ‘spare’ room and as I don’t own a sewing machine, I hand stitched them to the right length, and also made a couple of cushion covers out of the bits i’d chopped off. A friend lovingly referred to me as ‘Martha Stewart’. I hope it was lovingly anyway, I’m sure there was only a hint of sarcasm!
When I was pregnant with my daughter, I wasn’t very well off. Things haven’t changed much! I used to get a lot of joy wandering around to what we English peoples call “Car Boot Sales” which is usually like a school playground, or a field full of cars that have tables set up by them, full of their second hand items that they’re willing to part with. I bought SO much denim for my daughter, and because of my situation at the time I had a lot of spare time, so I would spend a lot of that time cross stitching Winnie The Pooh characters across these second hand denim items for the baby in my belly. This Cross-stitch set by Ladybird filled my heart with happy – although I don’t think I could have sewn this design onto a baby’s clothing haha.
Make it a beautiful day, Spoonies. You’re worth it. xoxo.
