I have a list of things in a notepad by my desk that I keep meaning to talk about, and as I’m in a mushy mood today (Maybe it’s because the boiler man is actually here and i might be able to have a warm bath tonight, or maybe it’s for some other reason making me feel all warm hearted), i’ve decided to talk to you about an analogy I had an epiphany for a while back.
I was thinking about hearts, and how we can give seemingly unlimited amounts of love – until we run out and need some back, and equated that to a form of currency, which led me to the the thought that hearts are comparable to wallets.
We usually start with a heart full of love, similar to how we’d go shopping (in a perfect world) with a wallet full of money. Every person we meet who becomes special to us is then gifted a piece of our heart, kind of like how we exchange money for objects, we’re exchanging love to receive it back. Some times, we give our love to the wrong people and don’t get enough love back which leaves our wallet slightly more empty than before, and other times we’ll receive so much love from an unexpected source, we’ll have an abundance of love to share – but no matter if you’re rich or poor, you’re usually able to find a couple of pennies down the side of the sofa, or in an old handbag, and I rather think that’s the change we get from our love interactions, we might never be millionaires in terms of love, but everyone we’ve loved and who has loved us has made a difference and left us with SOMETHING, even if it’s a foreign currency that we don’t understand.
I hope you’re having a beautiful day, Spoonies. Wishing you nothing but love and light, xoxo.
